Mr. Dagong Cao 曹大公
With a lifelong passion for music, he taught himself to play the dizi (Chinese flute) and erhu (Chinese fiddle) in his youth. In 2012, he joined the Melbourne Jianghe Chinese Music Society, the predecessor of the present-day Melbourne Chinese Orchestra. He served as the Orchestra's President from 2015 to 2025.
He currently performs as the Orchestra's double bassist and holds the title of President Emeritus (Life Honorary President).
自幼热爱音乐，少年时期自学笛子和二胡，2012年加入墨尔本江河中乐社，即墨尔本中华乐团的前身，于2015年起担任团长至2025年。
现任乐团贝司大提琴演奏员，中华乐团终身荣誉团长。
Mr. Huali Sun 孙化力
Having had a passion for music since childhood, he learned to play the violin and later studied the trumpet at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music in his youth.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the Melbourne Chinese Orchestra and is also a violinist and percussionist.
自幼喜欢音乐并学习小提琴，年轻时曾在武汉音乐学院学习小号。现任墨尔本中华乐团团长、小提琴及打击乐演奏员。
Mr. Harold Weldon
Mr. Weldon previously served as a member of the Australian-Chinese Council of the Federal Government and was awarded the Chinese national-level prize "11th Special Book Award of China" for his efforts in promoting Chinese culture globally.
He currently serves as the Cultural and Creative Director of the Melbourne Chinese Orchestra.
威尔顿先⽣曾担任联邦政府澳中理事会委员，并因其向世界推⼴中国⽂化的努⼒，荣获了中国国家级奖项“第⼗⼀届中华图书特殊贡献奖”。现任中华乐团文化创意总监。
Mr. Dong Li 李栋
Planning Supervisor of Melbourne Chinese Orchestra
Mr Li engaged in cultural promotion and exchange between Australia and China for many decades, focusing on planning and organising book publishing, radio and television as well as artistic performance projects.
墨尔本中华乐团策划总监
李栋先生长期从事澳中文化促进与交流工作，专注策划组织图书出版，广播电视以及文艺表演项目。
Mr. Jeff Li 李建泉
Jeff li previously served as the Music Director and was a co-founder of the New Zealand Yellow River Symphony Orchestra. He also held the position of Vice President of the New Zealand Asia-Pacific Musicians Association. Since 2013, he has continuously served as the Music Director of the New Zealand Yellow River Symphony Orchestra.
He is currently the Conductor of the Melbourne Chinese Orchestra.
曾任新西兰黄河交响乐团音乐总监,乐团创办者之一，新西兰亚太音乐家协会副会长。2013年以来一直担任新西兰黄河交响乐团音乐总监。现为墨尔本中华乐团指挥。
Mr. Aiping Gu 顾爱平
At the age of eight, he began studying violin with a professional teacher and later joined the professional art troupe, where he performed cello for ten years. After retirement, he founded a local amateur orchestra. After moving to Australia, he joined the Melbourne Chinese Orchestra, where he currently serves as deputy director, conductor, and cellist.
8岁师从专业老师学习小提琴，后进入专业文工团从事大提琴演奏十年。退休后在当地组织成立了业余乐团。来澳后，加入了墨尔本中华乐团，现任乐团副团长、指挥兼大提琴演奏员。
Mr. Zhiyu Li 李志钰
A lover of music since childhood, he began learning the saxophone in 2009 and later joined the Xinjiang Urumqi Workers' Cultural Palace.
He currently serves as Associate Director and saxophone player of MCO.
自幼酷爱音乐，2009 年开始学习萨克斯，后参加新疆乌鲁木齐市工人文化宫管乐队。
现任墨尔本中华乐团副团长， 萨克斯演奏员。
Ms. Mingxia Qiu 邱明霞
Having learned the Zhongruan (a Chinese plucked string instrument) from a young age,She has represented the overseas Chinese community of Melbourne in large-scale joint performances, such as the Five Countries Chinese Orchestra Chinese New Year Celebration in Canada, and the Sydney celebration of the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China.
She currently serves as a Principal Zhongruan player in the Melbourne Chinese Orchestra.
自幼学习中阮，一直活跃在社会各种文艺团体，参加省市各种演出，曾代表墨尔本华侨赴加拿大参加了五国华人乐团庆新春大型联合演出、悉尼庆祝香港回归 25 周年的演出。
现任中华乐团首席中阮演奏员。
Ms. Yuanyuan Liu 刘圆圆
Having begun studying the Erhu in early childhood, she was admitted to the prestigious Beijing No. 19 Middle School Jinfan Broadcasting Youth Chinese Orchestra in her sixth grade of elementary school. She frequently participated in the orchestra's national and international tours.
She currently serves as the Erhu Principal of the Melbourne Chinese Orchestra.
自幼学习二胡，小学六年级时考入北京市十九中金帆广播少年民族乐团, 多次随团参加全国、海外访问演出。
现为墨尔本中华乐团二胡首席。
Ms. Yajun Li 李亚军
Having had a passion for music since childhood, she is a graduate of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. With over a decade of experience in a professional performing arts troupe and thousands of stage performances, she has accumulated extensive practical experience.
She currently serves as the Principal Pipa Player of the Melbourne Chinese Orchestra.
自幼喜欢音乐，毕业于四川音乐学院，曾经在专业音乐艺术团体工作十几年，几千场的演出积累了丰富的舞台经验。
现任墨尔本中华乐团首席琵琶演奏员。
Ms. Yuan Mo 莫苑
Born into a musical family, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in violin from the Guangzhou Conservatory of Music (now the Xinghai Conservatory of Music). She has been teaching violin for over 40 years since 1980.
She is currently the principal violinist of the Melbourne Chinese Orchestra.
出生于音樂世家，畢業于广州音樂學院（现星海音樂學院）小提琴專業本科。1980年起從事小提琴教学工作40多年。
现任墨尔本中华乐团小提琴首席。
Mr Evan Freidin
Loving music from a young age, Evan began learning drums in 2005. He has performed with several group in Melbourne, including the indigenous Australian rock group Wykd Folk which performed at the Share the Spirit concert at the Sydney Myer Music Bowl
In 2024. Evan joined MCO and since become an active member of the orchestra, learning Chinese percussion such as the Dagu.
Mr Ming Zhang 张鸣
In the 1970s, he studied under Chen Xingfu, an accordion soloist with the Coal Mine Art Troupe. He later studied with accordion and piano teachers from the Oriental Song and Dance Troupe and the Central Philharmonic Orchestra for approximately three years. He is currently an accordion and trumpet player with the Melbourne Chinese Orchestra.
70年代师从煤矿文工团手风琴独奏演员陈兴福为师，后经东方歌舞团，中央乐团的手风琴及钢琴老师的指点，前后学习了近3年左右。现任中华乐团手风琴、小号演奏员。
